Winner of the BIG BREAK contest sponsored by WPRI and Cardi’s Furniture; named Limelight Magazine’s male vocalist of the year; honorable mention in the Pop category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for “So Be It”; Craig DeMelo (a/k/a The Whiskey Poet) has made a name for himself in New England and beyond as a versatile, passionate, and eclectic singer/songwriter, who can spin a ballad, paint a picture, blast out a rock song, or even freestyle.  His band has opened for such National Acts as Howie Day, Hootie and the Blowfish, Matchbox 20, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Less than Jake, Griffin House, and BoyzIIMen.  Craig has played showcases in NYC for Atlantic Records, John Mayer’s manager, Universal Music Group, and Dave Matthews’ manager.  In 2022 he released his sixth studio album available wherever you get your digital music.
