Some people seem kind of nervous when they visit our tasting room for the first time. They may think that tasting wine requires specials skills, knowledge, or etiquette of some kind. So to put you at ease before your visit, we’ll spell out exactly what you can expect during a wine tasting at Greenvale Vineyards.
With it’s sunshine, budding grapevines, and blooming flowers, it’s hard to choose what we love best about this season. One thing is for sure: we love hosting our Summer Jazz series every Saturday! It’s wonderful to see old friends and make new ones as we enjoy wine and jazz together.

Join us for our 14th Annual Restoration Celebration and enjoy live jazz, tractor rides and food samples from local food producers! In conjunction with National Preservation Month, we celebrate the Restoration of Greenvale Farm and Vineyards’ beautiful stable-turned-Tasting Room. We’re opening our doors for an intimate tour of the standing stalls, restored “tack room” and cow barn foundation which have earned us several awards for Historic Preservaton and Adaptive Reuse.
Greenvale Vineyards celebrates local arts and culture this weekend with live jazz and wine tastings at the vineyard! Spring Into Art is a week-long event in Newport County promoting arts and culture. See the website www.newportarts.org for a full calendar listing of dates and times of events such as pottery demonstrations, jewelry making, gallery walks, harbor tour, live performances and demonstrations, film, theater and more. This year Spring Into Art will be March 23rd through April 1st. Celebrate the arts by enjoying live jazz performed by local musicians and sipping locally made wine.

Wine tasting is a fun activity to do with friends, but it can also be a great way to discover a new wine or deepen your appreciation for both wine and winemakers. Our most senior Tasting Room hostess, Maggie Harnett, shares her tips on what to look for when you’re tasting wine at Greenvale.
This past Saturday we enjoyed the company of old and new friends as we rang in the holiday season. Warm mulled wine, local food samples, crafts made by local artisans, and live music performed by Dick Lupino and friends made it a very memorable gathering. These photos say it all.
