Greenvale Vineyards’ breathtaking setting along the Sakonnet River, the delicious estate grown wines and the relaxed, comfortable, pastoral setting create the perfect backdrop for your special day. Whether it is a wedding, rehearsal dinner, anniversary or employee appreciation, Greenvale is one of the most beautiful and private spots on Aquidneck Island for any celebration.
Our Restored Stable (turned Tasting Room) is an ideal space for smaller parties, showers and/or rehearsal dinners. The space has a fire code capacity that allows for 49 people inside the building, but can use the additional terrace space, covered with a sailcloth canopy, for a seated dinner. The building includes one (1) unisex restroom and is handicap accessible.

One of the best parts of using Greenvale as a Wedding Venue is the Ceremony Space we provide. Located in the midst of Chardonnay Vines overlooking spectacular views of the Sakonnet River and Little Compton Farm Land, friends and family are sure to be wowed! A natural isle between two blocks of vines create a space where guests can congregate to witness the exchanging of the vows.

Our Vineyard Site, situated between our Pinot Gris and Cayuga Vines, is a larger, flat space located 75 yards from the Tasting Room. The site overlooks the Restored Stable along with distant water views and is equipped with electricity. The space can accommodate up to 200 people and is typically the space reserved for Wedding Receptions. Included in the rental of the Vineyard Site is also the use of the Restored Stable, which sets an ideal space for cocktail hour and provides one (1) unisex bathroom. It is encouraged, not required, that the renters bring in extra restrooms for the convenience of their guests. Other rentals include tent, tables, and chairs. Additional Rental Items include a golf cart, which helps transport any handicapped guests to and from the ceremony site, and up to the reception tent. Also, we require that renters use our WINES during their events. A$15 corkage fee will be applied for non Greenvale wines wishing to be brought in.

For parties of more than 100 we require the use of a valet service to ensure that everyone’s cars are parked carefully and to allow emergency vehicles to get down the narrow driveway.
The Town of Portsmouth requires the renter to hire a uniformed Portsmouth Police Officer to handle traffic, parking and security. The Officer is required to be present one hour in advance and remain one hour after the function or until all guests have left. The current fee is $49 per hour . A fire marshal will be required for groups of 185 and over at the renter’s expense ($43 per hour). Security fees are subject to future Town of Portsmouth contract negotiations, and can change without notice.

A 50% deposit is required to secure the date with the balance due two weeks before the event. The deposit is refundable up to 6 months before the event. If we are able to rent the space for another event after that time, we will reimburse you for your deposit. All refunded deposits will incur a 10% processing fee. The wine is to be purchased beforehand. We are good at estimating your needs so we will not have you buy too much wine.
Smoking is not allowed in the stable. Smoke producing equipment (such as fog machines) are not permitted on the property.
