Looking for a unique venue to host your next event?
Greenvale Vineyards’ breathtaking setting along the Sakonnet
River, the delicious estate grown wines and the relaxed
comfortable pastoral setting create the perfect backdrop for
your special day. Whether it is a wedding, rehearsal dinner,
anniversary or employee thank you, Greenvale is one of the
most beautiful spots on Aquidneck Island for any
celebration.
Greenvale’s
Tasting Room, which is a beautifully restored stable, can
accommodate 50 guests for a seated dinner. From May through October, a tent can be
placed alongside the building which allows seating for 60
people and dancing in the Tasting Room.
Our vineyard tent site, located 75 yards from the Tasting
Room is between the Pinot Gris and the Cayuga. Surrounded by
vines, the tent site can accommodate up to 150 people with a
dance floor.
We also have a beautiful spot overlooking the Sakonnet River
for your wedding ceremony
The Details
Greenvale Vineyards
provides use of the building and the vineyards for the
event. We insure that the place looks great! Organization of
catering, the tent and other services is the
responsibility
of the Renter. We have a fixed list of Caterers who are
familiar with our parameters and considerations. We also
require that the Renter and the caterer work with Newport
Tent due to the extremely rigorous rules of the Portsmouth
Fire Department. The one exception is McGrath Clambakes who
has tents to rent and are familiar with the stringent tent
laws, too. Please review our lists for other vendor
suggestions such as florists, other rentals, valet, etc.
We have delicious estate grown wines. Our fine selection of
white wines includes Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Chardonnay
Select, Vidal Blanc and Skipping Stone White. It is no
surprise that we require our Renters to use our white wines
for the event. The Skipping Stone White also accommodates
the White Zinfandel palate so we do not allow blush or white
zinfandel from elsewhere to be served. Our Red wines on the
other hand are very limited production wines and they are
expensive, so we allow other reds to be poured along with
your choice of beer, spirits, and champagne. This is
organized with the caterer. We can help determine what wines
work best with your menu should you so choose.
The hours of the event are from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.. A
ceremony can be held at 5:30 in the Chardonnay field. The
caterers have from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. to set up the Tasting
Room so the reception cannot start before 6 p.m. to allow
the caterer enough time. The tent site can be setup any time
that day. The caterers are to finish cleanup by 11 p.m. The
cleanup includes removal of the event’s trash from the
premises. A cleaning fee of $250. will be charged if the
trash is not removed.
For parties of more than 100 we require the use of a valet
service to ensure that everyone’s cars are parked carefully
and to allow emergency vehicles to get down the narrow
driveway.
We can also provide personalized bottleneck cards for your
wine bottles at $20 per case. For more information please
A golf cart is available to rent to transport a small number
of people to and from the ceremony site.
